Backup Guide

HPanel provides a comprehensive backup system with local and remote storage options.

Backup Types

• Full Backup — Complete account backup: files, databases, emails, configuration
• Files Only — Website files and public_html directory
• Database Only — MySQL database dumps
• Email Only — Maildir contents

Manual Backups

Create a backup at any time from the user panel:

• Navigate to Backups in the user dashboard
• Select backup type
• Click "Create Backup"
• Download or store remotely

Scheduled Backups

Admins can configure automatic backup schedules:

• Daily, weekly, or monthly schedules
• Retention policy (number of backups to keep)
• Remote storage destination

Remote Storage

HPanel supports Hetzner Storage Box as a remote backup destination:

• Navigate to Admin → Backup Settings
• Enter Storage Box credentials (host, user, path)
• Backups are transferred via SFTP

Restore

Restore any backup with one click. Select a backup from the list and choose what to restore (full, files, database, or email).
