Migration Guide
HPanel supports three migration methods to move hosting accounts from cPanel or other servers.
Method 1: cPanel Backup Upload
If you have a cPanel full backup file (.tar.gz), you can upload it directly through the HPanel migration interface.
- Navigate to Admin → Migration
- Select "Upload cPanel Backup"
- Upload the .tar.gz file
- HPanel extracts and migrates websites, databases, emails, SSL, and DNS records
Method 2: Remote SSH Pull
Connect to a remote cPanel server, generate a backup, and pull it directly:
- Navigate to Admin → Migration
- Select "Remote SSH Migration"
- Enter the remote server IP, SSH port, and root credentials
- Select the cPanel account to migrate
- HPanel creates a backup remotely, downloads it, and migrates the account
Method 3: HAdmin Bulk Migration
For migrating entire HAdmin servers with multiple accounts:
- Navigate to Admin → Migration → Bulk
- Enter HAdmin API credentials
- Select accounts to migrate
- HPanel migrates them in parallel with progress tracking
What Gets Migrated
